About the fabric
The gold you see is a metallic thread woven through the weft, not a coating. This is a semi-silk blend and we do not describe it as pure silk or pure tissue, because it is neither. Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi, chosen by the founder from weaver families she buys from directly.
Tissue photographs richer than it looks in the hand, which is worth knowing if the evening will be photographed.
