The shimmer is a metallic thread woven into the weft. This is a semi-silk blend and we say so — it is why a tissue saree with a woven zari border costs ₹1,999 here. Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi.

Styling

Dry clean for the first two or three wears, then hand wash cold with mild liquid detergent. Never machine wash. Lay flat to dry in shade. Wash separately the first few times — pale fabrics show colour transfer first.
