About the fabric
Tissue gets its shimmer from a metallic weft woven into the fabric rather than printed onto it. Ours is a semi-silk blend and the page says so. Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi.
Which occasions this suits
Weddings as a guest, receptions, Diwali and Navratri. Green is one of the nine Navratri colours, and it is also among the safest wedding-guest colours — appropriate at any function, at any time of day.
Styling
Antique gold and temple gold sit naturally with green and gold. For the blouse: gold, deep maroon, rani pink or black. Avoid a second green — two greens together go muddy.
Care
Dry clean for the first two or three wears, then cold hand wash with mild liquid detergent. Never machine wash, never wring. Lay flat to dry in shade. Iron on low with a cotton cloth between, never on the zari.
