About the fabric
Tissue gets its shimmer from a metallic weft woven through the fabric. Ours is a semi-silk blend, not pure silk, and we do not describe it as either. Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi.
Which occasions this suits
Diwali, receptions and evening functions. Copper reads richer than gold under artificial light, which makes it a strong choice for anything that will be photographed indoors.
Styling
Copper is a warm metallic, so warm-toned skin and gold jewellery sit with it naturally — antique gold, temple gold or kundan. For the blouse: bottle green is the standout contrast, followed by deep wine and black. Avoid orange and rust, which blur into the copper.
Care
Dry clean for the first two or three wears, then hand wash cold with mild liquid detergent. Never machine wash, never wring, never hang wet silk. Iron on low with a cotton cloth between, never directly on the zari.
