About the fabric
The shimmer in tissue comes from a metallic thread carried through the weft rather than from any finish applied afterwards. This is a semi-silk blend — we say so plainly, because a lot of gold tissue at this price is sold as something it is not.
Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi, chosen each season by the founder from weaver families she buys from directly.

Diwali, receptions, sangeet and evening functions. Gold under artificial light is the whole point of this fabric.
Styling
Solid blouse, no prints. Deep maroon, bottle green, black or antique gold. One statement piece of jewellery — chandelier earrings or a necklace, not both. Two inch heels or more; tissue has body and hangs better with a little height.
Care
Dry clean for the first two or three wears, then cold hand wash with mild liquid detergent. Never machine wash, never wring, never hang wet. Lay flat in shade. Perfume on skin only — alcohol tarnishes metallic thread permanently.
