About the fabric
The shimmer comes from a metallic thread woven through the weft. It is a semi-silk blend and we do not sell it as pure silk. Sourced from Golghar market in Varanasi.
Which occasions this suits
Navratri, Diwali, festive evenings and daytime pujas. Orange is one of the nine Navratri colours — check the published list for the current year if you are following the day-by-day sequence.
One practical note: tissue is the heaviest fabric we carry. For garba and dandiya, choose georgette, soft silk or Maheshwari cotton instead — you will be more comfortable across a long evening.
Styling
Bottle green and deep teal are the strongest contrasts against orange. Antique gold picks up the zari. Avoid red or rani pink — two warm tones this close together read muddy in photographs.
Care
Dry clean for the first two or three wears, then cold hand wash with mild liquid detergent. Never machine wash, never wring, never hang wet. Lay flat in shade.
