Product Description

A bottle green semi Gaji silk saree with an Ajrakh print border and pallu in red, cream and soft green, finished with small mirrors across the body and through the pallu motifs. Green is one of the easiest festive colours to wear well โ€” it works for a mehendi, a wedding where you are a guest, Diwali and pujas, and it sits comfortably on wheatish, dusky and fair skin alike.

What this saree is

  • Fabric: semi Gaji silk โ€” a silk blend, not pure silk, with a smooth surface and soft sheen.
  • Print: Ajrakh print โ€” the star, jaal and paisley patterns of Kutch and Sindh, here in red, cream and light green on a bottle green base.
  • Work: mirror work scattered across the body and set into the border and pallu motifs.
  • Pallu: two rows of paisley (kairi) motifs around a central Ajrakh jaal band, with a red medallion border and tassels at the edge.
  • Colour: bottle green body; red, cream and light green print.
  • Blouse: unstitched fabric only.

Where to wear it

Green is a traditional mehendi colour, and this saree is well-suited to mehendi and sangeet evenings, Diwali, pujas and family gatherings. Unlike red, bottle green is a safe choice as a wedding guest โ€” festive without competing with the bride. The red in the print adds warmth, so it does not read as a plain green.

How to style it

A black blouse keeps the look sharp and lets the print stand out. For more warmth, pick up the red from the medallion border, or go with antique gold or copper. Antique gold or kundan jewellery suits the red-and-cream print; oxidised silver gives a more relaxed, Kutch-inspired look. Choose one statement piece and keep the blouse plain โ€” the pallu has plenty of pattern on its own.

Care

Dry clean recommended. Avoid machine washing and wringing, which can damage both the silk blend and the mirrors. Apply perfume to your skin and let it dry before draping, store the saree folded in cotton or muslin rather than plastic, and steam creases out instead of ironing over the mirror work.

Frequently asked questions

Is this green Gaji saree pure silk?

No. This is semi Gaji silk, a silk blend with a smooth finish and soft sheen. It is not pure silk, and we do not describe it as pure.

What does Ajrakh print mean on this saree?

Ajrakh is a print style from Kutch in Gujarat and Sindh, built on geometric stars, jaal grids and paisleys. On this saree the Ajrakh patterns are printed in red, cream and light green on a bottle green semi Gaji silk base.

Does this saree have real mirror work?

Yes. Small round mirrors are scattered over the body and set into the border and pallu motifs. Handle it gently and do not iron directly over the mirrors.

Does the saree come with a blouse piece?

Yes. It comes with a running blouse piece of about 0.8 metres in the matching green Ajrakh print. The blouse is unstitched fabric.

What is the length of this saree?

The saree is 6.3 metres long across the body, border and pallu, with a separate running blouse piece of about 0.8 metres.

Can I wear this green saree to a wedding as a guest?

Yes. Bottle green is one of the safest colours for a wedding guest โ€” festive and rich, without the bridal associations of red. It suits mehendi, sangeet and day functions especially well.

Is green a good colour for a mehendi ceremony?

Yes. Green is traditional for mehendi, and the mirror work on this saree catches light well in both daytime and evening photographs.

Which blouse goes best with a bottle green Ajrakh saree?

Black is the easiest match and keeps the look clean. Red, picked up from the pallu medallions, gives a warmer contrast; antique gold or copper also work. Avoid an exact green match โ€” it looks flat in photographs.

Should I wear gold or silver jewellery with this saree?

Either works. Antique gold or kundan suits the red-and-cream print and a more festive look; oxidised silver gives a relaxed, Kutch-style feel. Do not mix gold and silver in one look.

How should I wash and store this saree?

Dry clean is recommended. Do not machine wash or wring it. Store it folded in cotton or muslin cloth, away from damp, and never in a plastic bag.

Is Cash on Delivery available, and how long does delivery take?

Yes, COD is available across India with no minimum order value, and we call to confirm before dispatch. We dispatch within 2โ€“3 working days of confirmation, and delivery takes 5โ€“6 working days after that depending on your pincode. Prepaid orders ship free.

What is the return policy?

You must inform us within 48 hours of delivery, by email, with your order ID and clear photos. Once approved, ship the saree back within 5 days in unused condition with the original packaging โ€” return shipping is paid by you, except where the item arrived damaged or incorrect. After a quality check, we issue a coupon code for the full amount, valid for one year. Returns are accepted within the 48-hour window during sale periods too.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide by DHL at a flat rate of โ‚น2,500 per order, dispatched in about a week. International orders are card or Google Pay only โ€” no COD. All international sales are final: we do not accept international returns. Falls and pico are included on international orders.
